Edward J. Castillo was raised in the Rio Grande Valley. He obtained his undergraduate degree from The University of Dallas in 1996. He then obtained his law degree from Texas Tech University in 2003 and became licensed in Texas that same year.

Mr. Castillo has been practicing with Gonzalez Castillo, LLP since 2003 defending a variety of personal injury, medical malpractice, premises liability, car and trucking accidents, and products liability case. Mr. Castillo has an active practice in defending nurses at the Texas Board of Nurses in front of the Texas Medical Board. Additionally, he is a frequent presenter and speaker at nursing and medical conferences throughout the State of Texas, including lecturing at continuing education seminars and hospital systems.

He is actively involved in the Hidalgo County Bar Association. He has been a partner with the firm since 2009. He is also licensed to practice in federal court for the Southern District and Western District of Texas. Mr. Castillo is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
